The Coalescence Coalition is excited to announce the First Coalesce Summer Festival June 11st-13th in Darlington, Maryland. The festival will be hosted on 200 private acres overlooking the Susquehanna River with an abundance DJs, speakers, performers and workshops. Everyone has a passion for Music from birth. and a desire to express themselves. In this class I will help you to learn the basic vocabulary of belly dance in order to experience the natural joy of dance. Your body will be the instrument that harmonizes with the rhythm of the music as you celebrate yourself and your body with belly dance!
This class will cover the basics of belly dance choreography and introduce the use of belly dance fire props, including fire fans and torches. Students will be given the opportunity to make their own torches during the class and after completion of the class will be welcome to participate in a fire performance at the main stage on Saturday night.
Students should be comfortable with the basic poi vocabulary. focus will be on building on the basics to develop a comfort and freedom with flow, layering moves on top of one another to begin to sequence moves, transitions, and create choreography with the poi. Students taking this class are welcome to participate in a fire performance at the main stage on Saturday night.
Your own equipment is required.
